Wake up Sleeper

How does one wake up from a long spiritual sleep? Basically, the same way you wake up in the physical, an alarm. If we go through life long enough, we will start to hear some alarming sounds telling us that something is not quite right. That it’s time to wake up and see what’s going on in our lives. What is causing us the turmoil that we face everyday but hardly notice it at first. I’m not talking about the obvious signs of stress but the subtle. It’s like being on a floater at the beach and falling asleep. You wake up and find yourself off course or further out than you intended. Now it’s going to take some effort to get back to where you need to be. This unfortunately is the plight of many people today. Let us look at sleep in the natural for a minute to give us a better perspective. If one sleep too little it is detrimental to the body, but so is sleeping too much. I want to concentrate on the idea of over – sleeping. When we do so, the body becomes more lethargic, stiff joints, heart muscle is not being stimulated enough and so on. Staying up all night and then sleeping half the day is horrible because the mind and body cannot function properly. Everything is off balance.

It is said to turn off electronics an hour before sleep for the brain waves to settle down for a good sleep. The same in the spirit, we must turn off negative thoughts and vibrations for our spirit to go where it needs to go even in sleep. For our spirit never sleeps it travels and experiences the dimension of spirit in what we call “dreams.” There are some who feel the dream state is more real to them than their natural reality. Why? Because they experience a higher sense of self when they go into this phase. I too have felt this way many times and always thought there was something wrong or off with me. After hearing other people stories and through my own experiences I found that it wasn’t off at all. It was right on! So, let’s ask the question. If the spirit realm is superior and far better than the natural, and it is where true reality exist then why the need for our bodies? Why don’t just stay in spirit form? Spirit is ignorant of the natural just as the natural is ignorant of the spiritual. It takes both forms to be whole, complete. The spirit needs the body and the body needs the spirit. One without the other is like a scale leaning to just one side. We were created, fashioned to operate in both realms! In and by the spirit (Truth and Reality) we are infinite, eternal, weightless, possess no fear, no anxiety, no worry, without sickness and disease. When the spirit comes to the realization of pure Truth, pure Reality; that we are endless and possess all things then the body will take heed and follow. Even when an enlightened one’s body gets sick the spirit man or woman will not worry for it knows the body is subject to these things of the natural and will be at peace with its outcome. Whether that one uses medicinal means or not, this one is not moved by the temporal things of this world.

This mind-set is to be truly free, no bondage to the world and the things of it. Jesus stated, “I am from above, you are from beneath.” He wasn’t trying to disqualify or demean anyone, but he was speaking reality. He was telling the truth. The human beings around him were still operating at a lower frequency than He, therefore couldn’t comprehend what He was teaching the majority of the time including His disciples. Jesus was a human being too that recognized as he grew that he also was spirit. That to be human was not bad or evil but a blessing. To be able to experience the spirit realm while in a mortal body was profound. Jesus whole life and ministry was showing us that it wasn’t about the deeds or sins of the flesh that was the problem. Our natural mind and body were made for these things but to come to a higher perspective you had to realize that you were made for more than just having a body. The body was to be the vehicle to experience all there was that God had to offer in both realms. The problem lies in our ability to see that, and therefore walk in that. No one not Jesus, Buddha, not any great Master can teach you this. They can show you the way, they give you a pattern, but they cannot see or walk it out for you. We take what we hear and receive from the Lord and then we turn around and say,“now I need to see for myself.” Once we see we are no longer blind, that experience no one can take away from you.

God is not trying to hide from us, not keep anything from our understanding. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom! He wants us to see more than we want to see. He wants us to experience all there is of life, whether in the body or out it. Let Him remove that stony heart, that stubbornness that keeps you from all there is for you. Allow God to give you a heart of flesh, a heart that is pliable, a heart that receives the true blessings of the Lord. That which is beyond our natural scope of understanding. Narrow is the Way to eternal life and broad is the way to destruction. Hear His voice today, harden not your hearts. Hear Him say, “This is the Way, now walk in it.”

In order to do so, YOU MUST SEE!
