MINDFULNESS

Genesis 1:1-3

In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.

For those of you who have read the articles on this page, also for those who are new to the page, I would like to make this statement. I am not advocating any religion, nor am I against any religion; I stand for a Person and that Person is Jesus Christ. I am only interested in the one and only true God. Not the religious God of man’s comprehension, but the God that is true Spirit.  Jesus stated that God is SPIRIT, and those that will worship Him must do so in spirit. In other words, our carnal, fleshly, natural minds cannot worship Him, honor Him, nor please Him in any way. This may be hard to swallow but it’s truth nevertheless. If people are honest they don’t truly stand for God, they stand for their beliefs; really, they stand for another man’s beliefs. Majority of Christians alone do not even know why they believe what they believe, only that it was given to them by someone.  To truly come to a place of true belief you must have your own encounter, experience with God. There is no other way. The topics I speak about are not the goal. The goal is UNION AND INTIMACY with a Sovereign God. The goal is to know Him (Jesus) and the power of His resurrection. Notice I didn’t say death and resurrection. Yes, Jesus’ death is our way to the Father, the destruction of the veil that has separated us from Him. But He is no longer on that Cross He now abides in the hearts and minds of His true disciples. He promised His disciples then He would not leave them alone, that He would send them another and He is HOLY SPIRIT.  This is how we come into the MINDFULNESS of God and all that He is. Not some religious notion, but a living, thriving relationship between you and the Father. Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” So, it would behoove us to know Jesus that we may know the Father.  When we see Him, truly see Him, then we see the Father. Then in turn in seeing Him, we see ourselves (our true selves).  So, do not see these words as the goal, no. Use them as a guide on this journey, on this path to God Himself. See Him as the goal, the ultimate achievement of your life.  We all have different purposes to fulfill in this world, but every soul’s destiny is to know God their creator. The path to that goal is unique for each one, but the goal is steadfast, unchanging.  God is pure, holy, and unchanging. He is love, joy, peace. He is pure and unadulterated LIFE!

Jesus stated, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” We cannot just proclaim that we are sons of God just because we heard or read that it is so. It takes a gestation of time for these beings to come forth in and through a people. This is where we come to the next statement Jesus made. He said, “I am the Truth.” Jesus admonished the people to recognize the TRUE VINE, for there were many vines to feed from, to receive nourishment. He was stating that He alone was the True Vine, and the Father the Husbandman. We are the branches, and branches receive nourishment from the vine, and in turn the vine and the branches receive from the Father! How beautiful is God’s order? If we abide in the True Vine then we will always have truth, the reality of whom GOD really is, and not some myth religion has conjured up. I don’t mean to abide in a doctrine, the church system, or any other group. I said to abide in Him, in the Lord Jesus Christ.

After we see the Way, and we walk therein is when He begins to reveal Himself to us. This is the Truth. Even as He did with John on the Isle of Patmos. John walked, ate and slept with Jesus, but He still really didn’t know Him. John was chosen for such a time as this, and Jesus revealed THE TRUTH to John. In turn John revealed the truth to us, but only those who have ears to hear, and eyes to see will truly see the Revelation of Jesus Christ. I am not just speaking of the written Word in your Bibles, but the living reality of its meaning.

Once John saw who Jesus really was, and the reality of the Christ he then came to abundant Life. This Life that comes from an order after the rank of Melchizedek. This realization is the power of an endless life. Jesus stated, “I AM…” He is the WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE! He is not just life (bios), but abundant Life (Zoe). He is life even after the body is gone. He is life even when there is no fruit left on the vine, and the fig tree fails to blossom. He is Life when the doctors tell us that we have six months to live this earthly life. He is ALL things to ALL people.

The scriptures tell us, “This is THE WAY, walk ye in it.” What was this saying to us? It was telling us that the way is not a physical path that you walk on upon the earth. It is not even a religion, denomination, or a person. It is the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to show us the way, and He came that we may have life and that more abundantly.

Okay, let us look at the scripture above and apply it in a sense that will give us understanding of what is happening within us as we follow the path of spirit. God is constantly hovering, brooding over His people, His children to bring illumination to the soul and spirit. We are void, without form, without God. If we are not connected in a spiritual sense to a higher being, then we will never come to true enlightenment. We will remain formless, and void of true life. We are not only to represent Life in its fullest sense but distribute it as well. We should be lights in a dark and confusing world. We should be healing where there is pain and disease. We should be peace where there is chaos, and joy where there is sadness. It saddens me to see not only the world in such agony, but God’s own people! So many Christians walk around with so much defeat in them, so much anger and unforgiveness. They go through the motions of religiosity but never coming to the truth. Never realizing who they really are in the eyes of a great and powerful God.

I am sure that there are many agnostics that read the scriptures and even writings like mine. They spend so much time doing so trying to disprove there is a God, but what they need to do is prove to me that He doesn’t exist. Stop trying to disprove whether He is real. If these same ones would open their hearts, then their eyes would be opened as well. No one can deny that if they were in a plane about to crash the first one they call upon agnostic or not IS GOD! Why is that? Because whether you believe in Him or not, your spirit inherently does. That’s the way we were created! For His good pleasure, for His glory and honor.

If you are reading this article and haven’t read the first part of the series, Breath of God, please do so. Without understanding our life force, which is our breath, we cannot attain to the mindfulness it takes to walk this spiritual path. We cannot just proclaim that we are sons of God just because we heard or read that it is so. It takes a gestation of time for these beings to come forth in and through a people.
